Ponds on the Rocks. Award winning garden landscape and water features design & build company is the offspring of the combined creative talents of a husband and wife team – Ron Shapira and Carla Jenkins. It all started one summer when Ron proposed to Carla and learned she wanted a backyard wedding. For his bride to be, Ron built a 70' x 25' waterscape with 3 ponds, 3 waterfalls – lusciously landscaped and populated with Koi. The crowning touch was Ron’s creation of an arbor adorned with stylistic copper fish. A year later, they exchanged vows under the arbor and their creation was named Ponds on the Rocks.

 Ron Shapira is a biologist, engineer and Koi expert. Dependable, reliable and fiercely proud of his creations, Ron is personally invested in the uniqueness and reliability of the waterscapes he designs and builds for you. Size and style are collaboration between you, Ron, and Nature. Ron’s goal is that each owner finds happiness and peace in his Waterscapes. Ron’s credentials include (but are not limited) to: - Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences - Marine Biology.

 Carla serves as Artistic Director. Ron says, “She is all about beauty and strength; coupled with gentle persuasion.” Her exquisite sense of style and composition combines the elements of water, trees, plants, fish and rocks until pure harmony is achieved. Carla's credentials are (but are not limited to): Award winning vocal artist, she studied fine arts design, music, composition, acting and directing at: Phila. College of Perf. Arts, Millersville, Moore College of Art & Design, and Franklin & Marshall. She performed with Pennsy Pops Orchestra, Fred Waring Singers, and many roles in musical theatre. Then, she fell in love with Ron Shapira and married him Under the Arbor in Elkins Park, PA.
